For this assignment, I chose to redesign Kahoot’s logo. For their new app icon, I designed an owl and put Kahoot's answer option buttons in the background. I believe that the icon I designed is a better app icon because the answer option buttons are by far the most recognizable image related to Kahoot. I deliberately chose an owl as the focal point for this design because I thought it would resonate with consumers. Additionally, I personified the owl by giving it glasses and a graduation cap. These strategic artistic decisions complement Kahoot’s brand image and positioning because it is an academic company.
This is the cover page for the magazine I created for JMU's Dining Services. This was a particularly fun project for me because my friend's girlfriend works for JMU Dining Services and she actually modeled for the cover photo.
My advertisement for Broadway Hometown Partnership can be implemented as a poster, a flyer, a pamphlet, or as an online advertisement. The target for this marketing campaign is entrepreneurs, who will be drawn to the town because it is advertised as having a “booming economy.”
For this deliverable, I was tasked with creating a new logo for Plains Area Daycare Center. This was actually the first design I ever created using Adobe Illustrator; so, while I know it could use another mock-up or two I really enjoyed having the creative freedom to make the plane’s tail winds create a smile.
This project was particularly challenging because on top of including a button hyperlinked to the JMU Marketing website, I had to fit an entire college curriculum within a single
graphic design.
